Tesla CEO Elon Musk has criticized the Democratic party for pushing ‘hoaxes’ about the US president Donald Trump. Elon Musk spoke about the Democratic party on Joe Rogan’s podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ on Monday.
During the 3-hour podcast, Rogan and Musk spoke about various topics in the lead-up to the presidential election.
Reportedly, hoaxes spread by the Democratic party about Trump were brought up, and Musk and Rogan were sharing their thoughts during the interview on this topic. During the conversation, Musk weighed in on the ongoing allegations against former US President Donald Trump.
Musk has been actively campaigning for Trump in Pennsylvania, and he said, “If Trump doesn’t win, this will be the last real election”.
Musk spoke about what he sees as a dangerous government approach to justice, “Show me the man and I will show you the crime”. Musk compared the tactic to the treatment of his company SpaceX, asserting authorities had arbitrarily targeted it, and then found causes to investigate it.
Musk added, “They decided SpaceX was the target, and he said, “They figured out the crime afterwards”.
Rogan agreed with that and pointed out that the critics of Donald Trump have accused him of wanting to weaponize the justice system if re-elected. Yet, Musk argued that the Democrats have already done so. Musl said that the Democrats are doing all the things they accused Trump of doing openly.
Musk contended that while some political magnification is normal, the Democrats have repeatedly “pushed hoaxes” to Trump.
Musk said that he meant the sheer number of hoaxes that the Democratic party is pushing over and over again… when anybody has deliberate concerted repeated pushing of hoaxes, anybody is like wait a second. He also added that it is like come on man, this is too far.
Rogan and Musk cited various specific examples, including the ‘fine people’ remark that Trump made regarding Charlottesville. Musk claims it is often misinterpreted. Musk criticized former US president Barack Obama for bringing up this narrative again. Musk suggested that it is used as a tool to defame Trump. Rogan remarked, “It’s a flat-out lie”.
Musk also put down a campaign ad from Vice President Kamala Harris that reportedly misconstructed Trump’s comments on broader security to express he was denying women’s rights. Musk said the tactic of clipping Tump’s statements out of context.
He also said that they will take not even a full sentence…and then push it on every ad, every speaking event, and every media.
