All Eyes Turn to PS5 Pro: PlayStation Presentation Start Time and How to Watch

PlayStation Event

After months of rumours and speculations, Sony has finally confirmed plans to unveil its new PS5 Pro mid-generation upgrade. By the time when we were getting worried that the new console would be pushed back until 2025, Sony had given an official date and time for the PlayStation 5 Pro reveal.

The PS5 Pro Stream is at 4 pm BST UK time on September 10, and it is 8 am PDT for fans living in the US, as confirmed by a Tweet from PlayStation’s official Twitter Account. The PlayStation 5 technical presentation will be hosted by PS5 lead architect Mark Cheny. The presentation will focus on PS5 and innovations in gaming technology and the presentation is scheduled to run for 9 minutes.

Sony has announced the news on the PlayStation blog, also there is a warning for content creators and streamers. “If you’re planning to save this broadcast as a VOD to create recap videos, or to repost clips or segments from the show, we advise committing any copyrighted music”, according to the company.

The presentation show will be presented in English. There is no detail about what could be told in the show but it might be worth tempering your expectations. However, it could finally be happening.

We’ll find out the official release date, price, and pre-order information during the event, and the timing would suggest that the console will launch in November. Regarding the pricing, recent reports suggest that the console will launch with a hidden cost that may affect millions.

Moreover, it is believed that PS5 Pro may not launch with a built-in drive. Fans can purchase separately and attach it to the hardware. So, this would keep costs down for the fans of the digital world. The millions of PlayStation fans who prefer playing physical games, need to pay extra.

Whatever the case, fans need to be able to get hands-on with the PS5 Pro during the Tokyo Game Show Event to be held at the end of September.

The PS5 Pro should perform around 45% faster than the present model. The larger GPU will use faster system memory to enhance ray-tracing by up to three times. The PS5 Pro CPU will be the same as the current model but will have a mode that can increase performance by 10%.

Finally, with PS5 Pro, developers will have access to more system memory so it will be easier to improve resolutions and increase frame rates.
