Eurovision Song Contest Favorites: Who Will Win the Contest 2025?

1 Mins read

Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is upon us! The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest this year takes place this coming Saturday, May 17. The Grand Final is a celebration of rhythms, melody, fantasy, and glitter. The event will be held in Basel, Switzerland, and the US. The grand final will stream live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 20:00 BST.

The 69th Eurovision has gripped the continent, with a full lineup of wacky and wonderful acts waiting to take the stage in Switzerland. Being one of the big five, the UK act Remember Monday has been approved for the Grand Final on May 17. Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland will take part in the Grand Final.

However, the other participants have to battle to get a chance to perform in the Grand Final. The UK has been pre-approved for the performance in the Grand Final. The others need to battle it out in the semi-finals on 13 May and 15 May.

Now, everyone is thinking about who is likely to win the trophy this year. Here are the latest odds for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Before the semi-finals, there was a standout favourite to win Eurovision 2025.

Sweden’s trio KAJ are the favourites and are likely to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with their witty song Bara Bada Bastu. The song translates as “Just Take a Sauna”. Predictably, they have won the semi-final and have confirmed their performance for the Grand Final.

Scott Mills, the BBC’s Eurovision semi-final presenter, commented on KAJ’s entry that it was very Scandinavian. He also added that there were dancers in towels, they were also in a sauna, and there was a sauna on stage. Normally, Sweden sent perfectly polished pop, which is the reason that they won a lot, similar to Loren with Tattoo.

This is the first time that Sweden has sent a song sung in Swedish in more than a decade; the period can be even more. The song is a kind of novelty song, and it is very catchy. When someone hears it once, the melody stays in the brain for some time.

Sweden has a record of doing very well in the contest. If predictions go right, 2025 could see Sweden edge ahead of its rivals. In the previous years, they have had the advantage of Nordic bloc voting, which could swing the favour for them in the Grand Final 2025 again.
