Kamala Harris’ interview with Fox News channel’s Bret Baier on Wednesday is the most recent indication that Democrats during the campaign are increasingly eager to engage with a network well-stocked with supporters of opponent Donald Trump.,
a combative Kamala Harris pledged a clean break from Biden’s presidency on Wednesday in a testy Fox News interview aimed at reaching republican voters wary of Donald Trump.
Harris contended with interviewer Bret Baier on hot-button issues including gender transition surgery, immigration, and more. The Democratic nominee repeatedly asked “Mai I finish” while the host talked over her answer.
Harris was being pressed on comments she made last week, so a key moment in the half-hour-sit-down came. When Harris said she could not think of anything she would have done differently from Biden during his four years in office.
Harris, 59, who became her party’s nominee after the ageing Biden dropped out in July, said, “My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency”.
harris said that she would bring fresh and new ideas and also added that she represents a new generation of leadership.
Biden said on Tuesday that Harris would cut her path as president.
Harris also launched a blistering attack on the Republican former president, Trump, 78, for threatening to use the military against the internal enemies.
Donald Trump’s campaign described the interview as a “train wreck”.
Trump’s spokeswoman said in an interview that Kamala was angry, defensive, and once again resigned any responsibility for the problems Americans are facing.
Harris’s first-ever sit down with Fox was a gamble as she sought to break the deadlock in a White House neck-and-neck race with less than three weeks to go.
In that interview, Baier also asked Harris to respond to Trump’s campaign advertisements and a clip of the Republican defending his military remarks.
Harris continuously turned questions back to her election rival trump.
Some of the tastiest exchanges took place as interviewer Baier pushed Harris on the record numbers of illegal immigrants who have crossed the Mexican border under the Biden administration.
Harris replied by saying that the Biden-Harris administration had proposed a bill for greater border crossings, however, “Donald Trump told to kill it”.
Harris was quizzed on gender surgery for prisoners or illegal aliens. Harris replied by saying that she would follow the law, and it is a law that Donald Trump followed. Referring to a New York Times report Wednesday, Harris said that under Trump’s presidency, prisons also offered gender-affirming care.
Harris said, “Bret, Joe Biden is not on the Ballot. and Donald Trump is”.
