UK McDonald’s McRib is finally coming back after almost 10 years away

The news you have been waiting for- the McRib is finally returning to McDonalds after nearly 10 years away. McDonald’s is bringing a fan-favorite menu list back to the UK after a decade. On 16th October 2024, only for a limited time, the McRib will be returning to McDonald’s across the country.

The fast food giant has officially confirmed the relaunch of McRib after months of fervent speculations and social media buzz. The fans will be delighted who have travelled to abroad satisfy their craving for their favourite McRib. 

McRib is known for its tender pork patty, tangy barbeque sauce, onions, pickles, and soft home-style buns. The limited-time return of McRib is a testament to the dedication of its fanbase, according to the Manchester Evening News.

McRib Returns to UK

Head of Menu of McDonal’s UK, Thomas O’Neill expressed the cultural impact of the sandwich and said that the McRib is more than just a sandwich, it is a phenomenon.

He also added that they have heard their fans loud and clear, the fan petition and plea on social. So, after a decade of anticipation, they are thrilled to bring back this iconic menu item to McDonalds.

The decision to bring back McRib was driven by overwhelming customer demand, according to Mirror. O’Neill conceded that knowing how well-loved McRib is, they had very little choice, and they had to make it happen.

He also added that it is time to set up and satisfy the cravings of McRib enthusiasts across the country.

Before the official announcement, McDonald’s had been dropping precise hints, and sending fans into a frenzy of excitement over the effective return of McRib.

The McRib will be available in the UK from 16th October 2024 and it will cost 4.49 Pounds for the item on its own.
