In response to the separation rumours, Richard posted on his X account to reveal that he and Mindy had decided to part ways after 28 years of dating, 23 of which were spent in marriage.

It stated: “A little update from us; this Christmas we were together as a family and this year we will still be a family but just structured a bit differently.”

Our marriage is coming to an end, but we’ve had an amazing 28 years together and two incredible daughters. We will always be in each other’s lives and are proud of the family we created.”

Richard concluded with: “We won’t be commenting further and sincerely hope that our privacy and that of our children will be respected at this time. With Love, Richard and Mindy.”

Mindy and Richard Hammond’s Marriage

Richard Hammond is renowned for his important contributions to media and television, especially his work as a host on the well-liked BBC shows “Top Gear” and, more recently, “The Grand Tour,” where he starred with James May and Jeremy Clarkson.

Although he and Mindy have generally been able to maintain a balance between their private and public lives, Hammond’s fame brought his family to the attention of the media.

After 28 years of marriage, Hammond and his wife Mindy had established themselves as a formidable celebrity pair. In 1995, the pair fell in love at first sight.

They first came into contact while they were employed at a London public relations agency. “In an instant, I fell in love with her and realised I had met my soul-mate and best friend for life.,” Hammond wrote in his book On The Edge My Story.

Mindy and Richard had many difficulties during their union, such as Richard’s high-speed crash during a Top Gear episode in 2006 that left him seriously injured.

His recuperation was greatly aided by Mindy, who gave him constant support throughout his recovery.

Willow, 22, and Izzy, 24, are the Hammonds’ two daughters. In their podcast, Who We Are Now With Izzy & Richard, Richard and Izzy discuss contemporary parenting and men’s mental health.

This year, the podcast is scheduled to return for a third series. The family has also made appearances on Richard Hammond’s Workshop, a Discovery+ series that follows Richard’s foray into the Herefordshire restoration industry.

Richard and Mindy stress their continued dedication to their family despite the dissolution of their marriage.

They intend to keep up their work partnerships while co-parenting and helping their girls. The pair have asked that their children’s and their privacy be protected during this time of change.
