Jamie Foxx Reveals about His Brain Stroke

2 Mins read

In an interview, Jamie Foxx said he suffered a brain bleed that caused a stroke, which led to his hospitalization in April last year. The Hollywood star shared this personal experience during his Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…”. Foxx went on to give an instance: he once had a bad headache and requested some aspirin, only to faint before he could take the drug and wake up 20 days later.

“Jamie Foxx Reveals He Had ‘Brain Bleed That Led to a Stroke!”

When Foxx was hospitalized, Corinne Foxx, his daughter, reported that he had a medical complication, but the family has not released any other details. But, in his Netflix special, Foxx talked about his experience, admitting that upon receiving a cortisone injection, he was dismissed by the paramedics. He was admitted to Piedmont Hospital only after his sister insisted that a scan revealed a brain bleed leading to a stroke.

Foxx narrated a Giorgio Armani when a doctor said to him, they have to operate on him right now, or he will die. Even during the operation, Foxx’s sister prayed outside the theatre. Even though doctors failed to determine the cause of the brain bleed, Foxx has been discharged from the hospital.

It opened with Foxx’s story about how he nearly died. It was hot in that tunnel, and there was no light at the end of the tunnel. He also said that his doctor told his family that he, too, could recover fully, but it would be a tough year for him.

Foxx’s case reminds everyone that bleeding in the brain or a stroke can happen to anyone, even a physically active man such as Foxx. The actor, usually quite energetic and charismatic on stage, was lucky to be taken to hospital as soon as he began feeling unwell – he may have owed his life to this. But not all are lucky as the vital organs are particularly affected, and one needs to know when a brain bleed or a stroke happens.

Possible signs of a stroke or head bleed are acute headache, disorientation, slurred words, and handle and leg weakness or loss of sensation. For the person or a loved one, any of these symptoms will require prompt medical intervention. However, if the problem is treated early, the prognosis becomes better and there is not much damage in the future.

After listening to Foxx, everybody should think seriously about the health of his or her brain. These facts give as a clue of what to look out for in cases of brain bleeds and stroke therefore it’s every individual’s responsibility to ensure that he or she makes measures to prevent it from occurring. This includes physical exercise, stress reduction and finally getting a check-up with our doctors from time to time.

In conclusion, Jamie Foxx’s case is a good example of the fact that nowadays brain health has to be raised among people.
