What did Judge Hannah Dugan of Wisconsin do when she was arrested? Drama in the courtroom transporting an “illegal migrant” to safety

2 Mins read

Wisconsin Judge Dugan Arrested: The FBI detained Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan on Friday on suspicion of obstruction and sheltering someone to avoid arrest. Here’s to know more about why a Wisconsin Judge is arrested.

In announcing the arrest, FBI director Kashmir Patel said that the court purposefully diverted federal agents from an illegal alien who was about to be taken into custody.

Patel later made the same post even though he has previously deleted it. Prosecutors indicated they will not request Dugan’s detention prior to trial, amr she was freed after making a brief appearance in federal court in Milwaukee on Friday morning. On May 15, she will be arraigned.

How did the judge act?

According to the claims, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national and undocumented immigrant who was wanted for deportation, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials when they showed up in the courthouse on April 18.

Dugan reportedly grew extremely irate after learning of the agents’ presence, referred to the scenario as “absurd”, and confronted the agents in public hallway, demanding that they leave and claiming that they required that they leave and claiming that they required a seperate warrant in order to make the arrest. They should talk to the chief judge, she said.

According to investigators, Dugan allegedly assisted Flores-Ruiz in avoiding ICE authorities by escorting him and his lawyer into a private section of the courtroom through a non-public jury door.

According to Patel, Dugan “intentionally misdirected” federal officials, enabling Flores-Ruiz to evade capture for a short time. Later, Flores-Ruiz was caught outside the courtroom.

According to the complaint, “these events were also unusual for two reasons.” First, because the jury box was only for the jury’s use, the courtroom deputy had seen Judge Dugan tell the individuals not to sit there before.

Second, the courtroom deputy claimed that the back jury door was only used by juries, deputies, court employees and in-custody defendants who were being accompanied by deputies. The jury door was never used by defence lawyers or uninvolved defendants.

Before the suspect was taken into custody by an FBI and DEA agent after a short foot pursuit, Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer managed to leave the courthouse.

On March 12, police were called to a residence in Milwaukee regarding a reported altercation, and Flores-Ruiz was taken into custody. As per the police report, he hit a woman who attempted to break up the fight in addition to hitting someone repeatedly.
